Awarded an NSF SBIR Phase I grant

Power 3D received a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award from the National Science Foundation to advance its 3D-printed battery electrode technology.

Verified 300+ Wh/L in prototype cells

Prototype testing confirmed energy density above 300 Wh/L, with a clear development pathway toward 500+ Wh/L as the printing process matures.

First patent granted, additional filings in progress

Power 3D's core printing approach has been granted its first patent, with two additional patent applications currently in prosecution.

Additional non-dilutive support from CMU and regional partners

Power 3D has been supported by a Carnegie Mellon University SAFE grant and regional manufacturing programs as it builds out its printing and testing capacity.

Growing the engineering bench

Power 3D has added battery engineering and manufacturing expertise from the automotive and industrial battery world to its core team.
